DO ALL THE CABINS HAVE A PRIVATE JACUZZI?
Yes, all the cabins at Omega have a private jacuzzi. The jacuzzi’s in the Luxury cabins are outside on the deck & the jacuzzi’s in the Deluxe cabins are inside with stacking glass doors that can open or close completely. All the jacuzzis are completely private.
HOW MANY PEOPLE DO THE CABINS SLEEP?
Our cabins are ideally designed to sleep 2 people per cabin. All our cabins are open-plan, studio style with 1 x king-size bed, a double sleeper couch & kitchenette all in the same room. The double sleeper couch can accommodate extra people/children. Further details regarding our different cabin styles & their rates can be found on the Accommodation page.
CAN I HIRE/LOAN QUADS OR MTB’s AT OMEGA?
No you cannot. There are many wonderful trails in the area easily accessible from your front door but all your own equipment is required.
ARE YOU PET FRIENDLY?
Unfortunately pets are not allowed. Our own beloved dogs live on the property and can be territorial with other dogs.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
Omega provides all linen, bedding, blankets, towels (for shower & jacuzzi), dishwashing liquid, soap for the shower & toilet paper. The cabins all have a full DSTV bouquet, so no need to bring your smart card. Bring your own firewood and charcoal.
ARE THE CABINS SERVICED?
Yes, the cabins are serviced daily (this in included in your stay, no extra charge).
DO THE CABINS HAVE FIREPLACES?
Yes, all the cabins at Omega have a fireplace.
HOW PRIVATE ARE THE CABINS?
The cabins are spaced approximately 30m apart. They are all screened off to afford privacy.
CAN A NORMAL SEDAN CAR DRIVE THE ROADS TO OMEGA?
Yes, Omega is off a tar road with only 500m of graded dirt road to reach the farm & your cabin. The roads on the farm to & from your cabins are dirt roads & can be traversed with a normal sedan car. The roads are not suitable for low-profile sports cars.
DO YOU HAVE PACKAGES OR CATERING FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS?
For special occasions we put a complimentary bottle of sparkling (JC Le Roux) & a small bowl of chocolates in the room. For anything further we suggest you have a walk around the town of Clarens to the many lovely deli’s & put together a picnic basket which you can enjoy in your room or anywhere on our vast property
DO YOU HAVE A RESTAURANT ON THE PROPERTY OR CATER FOR ANY MEALS?
Omega is completely self-catering & all cabins have a kitchenette (with cutlery, crockery, basic pots & pans, utensils, 2-burner stove, microwave & snackwich maker; there is a Webber braai on the deck). There is no restaurant on the property but Clarens, 17km away, has many wonderful options.
WHEN CAN I SEE SNOW?
If only we knew the answer to that question! Snow could occur any time between June to September, your highest chance being July & August.
HOW IS THE WEATHER IN CLARENS? WHAT SHOULD I PACK?
In summer, temperatures can be high during the day but often drop at night, so pack warm clothes as well as winter gear. In winter the days and night are cold, and can get very cold. If you are going to spend time outside its best to pack gloves, scarves, beanies, warm jacket etc.
